Open Evening for school admissions: Wednesday 27th September 2023

This is such a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to ask our children about their learning experiences on a day-to-day basis along with their opportunities to engage in enrichment activities.

We have high aspirations for all our children here, at West Moors Middle School, where their needs are placed at the heart of all decisions made. We want our children to thrive to be the best that they can be, on their own individual journey, and we look forward to your child joining our West Moors Middle School family.

In addition to this opportunity, we will be providing virtual tours and information on our website which will encompass:

Open Events for Admissions

In addition, the Headteacher will also provide small, socially distanced, guided tours, which will start at 09.00-10.15 and will include an information session with the opportunity for you to ask any questions. These morning tours will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 3rd October 2023

Thursday 5th October 2023

Tuesday 10th October 2023

Such events will provide parents/ carers with an opportunity for them to visit and not only meet us in person but also feel the care, positivity and purposeful learning environment that West Moors Middle School provides to enable all children to thrive and reach their potential.

Admissions Process

West Moors Middle School uses the local authority arrangement for School Admissions. The agreement is mindful of national requirements supporting all young people, including those who are disabled, in a fair and non-discriminatory way, when securing admission to school. In addition to this West Moors Middle School makes appropriate reasonable adjustments to accommodate those who are disabled. Where adaptations are required to support physical or medical needs, the school liaises with health services and parents / carers to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made to meet individual medical conditions. More information can be found in the Local Offer information held on the Local Authority’s website (dorsetforyou.com/local-offer)

We have 64 places in each year group and all our admissions are through Dorset Admissions.

If we can help in any way contact the school office
