Our Inclusive Practice Offer at West Moors Middle School
West Moors Middle School’s offer for inclusion was developed collaboratively by the whole staff team. Together, we agree that the provision detailed in this document is a strong offer of inclusive support to ensure the overall wellbeing and achievement of all in our community. We will use this provision map to record and review individual packages of support for all who benefit a more bespoke programme of scaffolding to access learning, the school environment and to support their overall wellbeing and development. It will also be used to support the thinking behind the development of a package of support for those with more complex needs. This can then also be used to demonstrate/evidence a graduated response to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in line with the Code of Practice (2014). Staff will share these maps of provision with parents and students at any appropriate point but always during Parent Consultations. Copies will be sent home for reference. Parents and students should be involved in the development of provision and thinking about what could be supportive to promote learning in all areas. Students, parents and staff will be involved together to collaboratively develop and agree programmes of support. A student-centred approach will be facilitated by the school at all times.
