The Lizard School Council meets every half term and provides a meaningful way in which our children can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions, which affect them.
Each tutor group elects a member to represent them at School Council. Children who would like to be considered for this role make a short presentation to their tutor group. They then vote for the candidate of their choice and elected Tutor Group Councillors share the views of their class at School Council meetings.
They also represent the children in wider decision making within the school. In recent years, this has included reviewing the School Development Plan, interviewing prospective candidates and presenting ideas to Governing Body committees.
